Emily Lander
BA Drama: Musical Theatre
Growing up between Ireland and Hong Kong, I always had one dream: to perform. From a young age, I knew that performing was what I was meant to do, and it quickly became clear that I loved not only being on stage, but also the wonderful feeling of helping others discover their own confidence and passion for the performing arts.
Growing up away from some of the major hubs of the theatre industry, I often wished there was greater access to the coaching, guidance and support available to aspiring performers. I spent years working hard, searching for teachers, coaches and resources that could help me take the next step towards my dream.
As I got closer to finishing school and applying to university and drama schools, I found myself wishing I had someone who could provide that extra support — someone I could turn to for whatever I needed, wherever I was, whether that was developing my performance skills, preparing for auditions, choosing repertoire or navigating applications.
Fast forward a few years, and I am now a First Class Honours graduate from Goldsmiths, University of London, where I studied BA Drama: Musical Theatre. I am currently pursuing my own professional performing career alongside teaching, and I am passionate about using everything I have learnt along the way to support the next generation of performers.
That is why I created Lander School of Performing Arts.
I want to be the support I wished I had during my own journey — helping young people aged 4–18 develop their skills, confidence and individuality, while making the world of theatre feel more accessible and achievable.
Whether you are just discovering a love for performing, preparing for an audition, working towards an exam, applying to drama school or simply looking to build confidence, I want to help you grow both as a performer and as a person.
With online lessons available worldwide, my goal is to make high-quality, personalised performing arts support accessible wherever you are.
